How do you decide which side to get your nose pierced?

Some people get their nose pierce based on culture. In India the left side is popular, because in Ayurvedic beliefs associate the left side with “female” reproductive organs (uteruses, ovaries; not all women have them, and not all those with them are female). The rest of us are left to flip a coin or something.
You can use small stickers and/or washable markers to mark your nose and take photos. This way you can see how a nose piercing will look. Depending on what kind of jewellery you're getting, what kind of piercings you have, and what kind of jewellery is in them, combined with marks made with washable markers, you can see what looks best.
Often times, the left side of the nose is the most preferred side for piercing. If you are a guy, you need to pierce your Right nostril. It is thought if the guy wears it in the LEFT nostril he is a gay and girls wearing it on the RIGHT nostril are lesbians according to western culture.
But, seriously, wear it where you want left or right. It is your priority and comfort that matters.
