Is it normal for a nose piercing to hurt 4 days after getting it pierced?

Totally normal. Piercings through non cartilage/less sensitive spots will hurt for at least a week (ear, lip). More sensitive non cartilage areas can be for a few weeks and cartilage areas and places that are super sensit6 (genitals, nipples) can hurt for a good while. My nostril piercings and septum took about a good month and a half to calm down, but any jostling to them cause me pain. Fall allergy season was quite the adventure. My ears, on the other hand, were ok in about a week.

Absolutely. You punctured a hole into your nose. Your nose is still healing after four days. Just like any other piercing in the world, it needs to heal. This can take anywhere from one month up to a year depending on the exact piercing.

Yes. You pierced through/removed like a paper punch of cartilage and healing takes awhile that’s why good pierces tell you to leave the intial ‘jewellery’ in place for so long. I personally wouldn’t recommend rubbing alcohol. When your in the shower that’s the best way to gently rotate the barbell and move it up to take the crusty bits on the ring.
