Will nose piercing hole ever seal ever seal

I had my nose pierced about 10 years ago on the right side of my nose with a gun. I didn't knows what any better then. It was also done not in my preferred spot. I wanted it centered.
Since having it done, I've always struggled to keep tiny studs(which I prefer)in. They always fall out. I've given up putting any studs in at all now because it's frustrating but then I really want one. I'd like to have another piercing on the same side but in my desired spot which is just below/next to what I already have it but I'm not sure if that's possible or wise (but then I don't want it anywhere else). Will this hole ever seal ever seal and can I have another one then close to it? I' also concerned about what it will look like. Please help.

Since your nose has been pierced for so long it's now a permanent hole. It's technically cauterized, in effect. It may have t may not get a bit smaller if you leave it empty for an extended period of time but it won't ever close. I recently found a tattoo shop that has a cool nose stud. You basically get a short of sheath put in the hole from inside out and then change the front stud only. It's on a short post that snaps into the sheath. Makes it easier to change the stud and doesn't stick out into your nostril. Also makes it stay in. More secure. I'd look into that instead. Then you can vary the size of the top to appear smaller
